This time last year we were preparing to celebrate Jonathan’s life with many family and friends who had travelled from near and far and some who couldn’t be there but were with us in spirit.
A hard yet positive day honouring and remembering the most unique person I’ve ever known. Miss having him around and the encouragement he was as a brother and the love he showered on Iona and Clemmie as a fun-loving uncle. Miss his wonderful smile, which a friend described as “lighting up not just a room but a stadium” and miss his lovely hugs. Jonathan - you were one in a billion and we miss you so much but our lives were so much richer for having you in them even for just 43 years - wish you could have had another 43 and more....remembering you especially today in these pictures of your life and in the lovely tributes in your memory.
We couldn’t have done it without those who were there for us on the day, before, and since - helping us take one day at a time and learn how to do life again without the bright light that Jonathan shone in all our lives. Looking forward to seeing it shine in glorious technicolour again one day...
This candle was first lit on the 6th of April 2020 and will burn for 95 years 9 months and 8 days.
